There is one perfect word to describe Evangeline and Anthony: sweet. I know that’s not a fancy word but it’s so true when it comes to this couple who got married at St. Anne’s Church then celebrated at Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert. I love their innocence, their bond and their genuine smiles.
Evangeline tells us about the Superman gear: Anthony is a big superman fan. At the rehearsal dinner, he gave the groomsmen their gifts of matching superman socks and superman shot glasses. My brother (a groomsman) gave him superman cufflinks as a wedding gift. As a surprise, I wore a garter with a superman charm tied to it. Anthony loved it! It was the personal touches that made our wedding day so special.
Do you see what I mean about the sweetness?
I love the color combo of yellow, blue and white- it’s fresh and happy

Evangeline and Anthony’s Wedding video tells their story so beautifully:

KG: What is your favorite thing about being married?
E/A: Our favorite thing about being married is being seen as and living life together as “one.” Signing with the same last name, living together, cooking with each other, and most of all starting our family. Ill never forget showing him my positive pregnancy test and later hearing his excitement when the doctor said we are expecting a son this June 2012!
KG: Tell us about your honeymoon!
E/A: Our honeymoon was in Maui, Hawaii. We wanted a beach getaway in the U.S. We didn’t want to be on a long flight or deal with passports. It was amazing except we had food poisoning our first night. Laying ill in bed, we laughed and repeated our vows we said a fews days prior “… in sickness and in health.”
KG: What advice would you give brides-to- be?
E/A: My advice to future brides is twofold:
One, if possible, hire a day-of-coordinator. My coordinator took all my items at the rehearsal dinner and ensured my vision came together on the big day. I didn’t want to be finding bouquets or placing centerpieces on my wedding day. On my wedding day, I woke up worry-free and couldn’t wait to marry Anthony in front of our family and friends.
Two, every bride can get stressed or nervous, don’t lose focus. Your wedding is a day but your marriage is a lifetime. After all the planning, breathe and be a bride. You are finally marrying the love of your life! Once you walk the aisle, everyone’s looking at you.. but you will be looking at one person.
KG: Did anything about your wedding day surprise you?
E/A: I always heard your wedding is the “happiest day of your life.” I was surprised at how true this statement is. Never again will there be an occasion where you and your fiance’s family and friends will be there and will be brought together to celebrate your commitment and love for each other. It truly is the happiest day of our lives.
Congratulations Evangeline and Anthony and thank you for sharing your day with us!
