Part 2 of Sonal and Sanjay’s Traditional with a Twist Indian Wedding is all about the modern look the couple chose for their reception starting with hair, accessories, gown change for Sonal and a suit change for Sonjay. Once their new look was complete, they headed out onto the lake at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa in a gondola for some romance (click here for Part 1).

Sonal’s bouquet is a balance of modern and traditional- blushing bride protea, coral & cream garden roses, dahlias, succulents and touches of spotted feathers make for a a lovely piece

The ballroom glowed with warm gold tones, elegant and lush floral designs and plenty of up-lighting to set the mood

The couple’s favorite moment? …walking into the reception hall as an official married couple. At this point, we were both relaxed and ready to have fun and we were really able to take in everything that was going on around us. Seeing the beautiful reception hall and all our friends and family laughing and having a good time, was a truly special moment from our wedding day.

The newlyweds headed to South Africa and the Maldives for a fabulous honeymoon. Sonal tells us: We started in Cape Town, SA, followed by a safari at Kruger National Park. From there we went up to Zambia to see the beautiful Victoria Falls, and then we headed to the stunning Maldives where we spent an entire week at the Park Hyatt Hadahaa snorkeling, fishing, swimming, relaxing, and soaking up the sun. It was the most amazing trip we had ever taken.
