Does your heart tell you white is the way to go for your wedding decor but your brain is worried that a white wedding will be boring? Just take a look at these gorgeous photos from our styled shoot in our Winter Spring 2013 issue and you will never worry about white again.
The most elegant of all wedding colors, white is anything but plain when paired with sumptuous linens, opulent place settings and a beautiful outdoor setting. Warm neutrals, representative of the desert setting, provide depth in the florals as well as in the vintage-inspired accessories.

Table Tops, Etc. details their vision for the shoot: We wanted to play with subtle tones in creams, beiges, grays, and soft mixed metals to give an antique charm to the table and create a romantic, feminine atmosphere. Gold trimmed family heirloom dishes lent elegance while antique shop cake stands and bird-adorned accessories added a touch of whimsy. We selected balsa wood flowers to bring an unexpected textural element to the floral arrangements.

Stationery designer Amy Wallace of Page & Mason Invitations added interest through texture by hand stitching the paper designs

Set stylist and event coordinator Jennifer Thye of Imoni Events tells us about the glassware and what inspired her for the shoot: The gold details were so much prettier when they had some sort of white dessert. So at the last minute we had the pastry chef fill them with whipped cream topped with caramel, to match the table colors…we found all the white metal and glass pieces at a local antique shop. They were the first items that inspired the overall look of the shoot. I am obsessed with white, and antiques so they were a perfect fit for the shoot.

We love how the shoot turned out and hope you don’t shy away from white; white weddings go from plain to gorgeous by adding texture and subtle neutral hues.
