Every once in a while a fairy tale comes true and in Jenna and Ryan’s case, they can call Seville Golf and Country Club their Fairy Godmother. They were the lucky couple who was chosen for Seville’s Dream Wedding Giveaway- that’s right, they “won” a wedding. How amazing is that? The entire day was perfection in no small part thanks to the vendors who donated their services to Jenna and Ryan’s magical day.
Here’s what Jenna had to say about planning her Dream Wedding: Planning an Arizona wedding from Tennessee would have been impossible without my treasured momma and sister, who ran errands, made phone calls, and worked on projects for 9 months leading up to the wedding. We are equally as grateful for the rest of our family and friends, who folded programs, cut out seating assignments, boxed up centerpieces, and most importantly prayed for us every step of the way. Ryan and I truly could not have made any of this happen without help from our family, our friends, and our fabulous wedding vendors. It is amazing to see how willing and eager people are to support, encourage, and contribute time and effort to your big day.
Love the fresh color combo!
Ryan and I started dating in high school and he patiently waited for me for 6 1/2 years, through long distance, moving across the country from AZ to VA, and another move to TN. He has consistently stayed by my side and chosen to love me. We did not live together until we were married because of our Christian faith, so even after 6 1/2 years of dating, marriage is truly an exciting adventure and a gift!
Look at how photographer Austin Gross uses the desert landscape in these next 2 pictures- so dramatic!
Jenna tells us about the vintage vibe she created for her day: A major stylistic theme of the wedding was colored glass, since I had fallen in love with it after inheriting several unique pieces of antique colored glass from my grandmother. We also embraced the handmade look of the do-it-yourself approach. We both love to create and enjoy raw art in all forms – which was reflected in our choice of wedding music, photography, videography, and decorations. We really wanted our wedding to be an accurate reflection of us as a couple and more than anything, we wanted our wedding to be glorifying to the Lord.
The ballroom at Seville Golf and Country Club is so open and airy-completely gorgeous!
The spectacular cake from Designer Cakes by April:
One of the many highlights of the wedding day was our “first look”. Spending this time together before the big celebration allowed us both to replace our nerves with sheer excitement. It was still every bit as magical when we saw eachother for the first time surrounded by all of our loved ones as I walked down the aisle.
Our rehearsal dinner on Friday evening was another extremely special and intimate moment. Our best man initiated a time of sharing, where our closest family and friends shared funny stories and loving accolades. We have never felt so tangibly loved and supported as we did on our wedding weekend.
After the wedding, we were fortunate enough to spend another afternoon with our family and friends at an outdoor service at Redemption Church, followed by a luncheon at a local restaurant called Joe’s Real BBQ. We are so thankful to have had a little more time with everyone who came into town to celebrate with us before we left for our unbelievably amazing honeymoon in Maui.
It was on our honeymoon that we quickly realized the best thing about being married is being together. Having your best friend by your side makes even the mundane things in life truly extraordinary.
My last piece of advice comes from my mother, who reminded me daily to “enjoy the journey”, because the wedding day really does fly by.
