Real Wedding: Lindy and Jim at the Sanctuary
categories: fabulous reception sites, floral inspiration, from the consultants, real weddings, reception ideas

There is so much to love about Lindy and Jim and I am so pleased to share their beautiful day with you. The always lovely Jennifer Thye of Imoni Events coordinated the wedding and I think you will love the Old Meets New feel of the wedding day.

The Sanctuary Resort is modern and hip with breathtaking views that couples love. You can see that Lindy struck the right balance with the vintage beading on her dress and modern feather detail in her hair. So pretty!

What a cool idea- a Soul Mate poem in the back of each menu. It’s thoughtful details like this that make weddings memorable.

Lindy lost her mother so she set up this sweet vignette: the bright floral arrangement accompanied by a eulogy titled “The Brightest Flower Of Them All”.  This is such a sweet and appropriate way way to honor a loved one who is no longer with us.

Since family is central to Lindy and Jim’s life, they chose to have a Family Head Table instead of a traditional head table, proving once again that this couple prioritized and honored their family in creative ways.

Coordinator Jennifer Thye says, “The colors are quintessential fall colors but we spiced them up a bit with some deep tones and dramatic lighting“. I am a huge proponent of wedding coordinators and this is just more proof why you should hire one for your day: Jennifer managed to take what the couple wanted and add some pop to the overall look of the day. She listened to their desires, made it all happen AND used her own eye for style to make the wedding even more special.

One of my favorite shots from the day- photographer Jennifer Bowen has a way with couples!

Lindy and Jim- thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous day with us!

Shoe Love
categories: bridal fashions, photography

It wasn’t until I went shopping with a girlfriend who was visiting from out of town that I had my first pair of “killer” shoes. They are sexy and higher than I normally wear not to mention, they elicit many compliments and I love them! And just like a great hair day or brand new eyeshadow quad, they also make me FEEL good, which goes a long way.

Brides, we know that shoes, just like any other accessory, can add that special spring to your step come wedding day. Since cameras and good shoes have had a long-standing love affair, I knew that all I had to do was put out the call and the shoe shots would come.

Sparkly Goodness

I had to include this because it’s like one of those pictures where you are supposed to guess what you are looking at. The perspective is tricky but oh so beautiful! I love interesting photography…
