We've all heard it
...“when you
meet the right one, you just
know.” Such was the case
when Michele Clark walked
into Kona Grill and came face
to face with the man who would eventually be
her husband: Randy Gonzalez.
Fast forward five years, and Michele and
Randy were again face to face—at the JW Marriott
Camelback Inn Golf Club, with 150 adoring
family and friends looking on. The bride, wearing
an ivory two-piece Mikado halter with beaded
embroidery and pink accents, met her groom
along an aisle adorned with raspberry and orange
rose petals. They stood under an arch decorated
with an ethereal combination of snap dragons,
Milano roses, hot pink stargazer lilies, lavender
bundles, cherry blossoms and branches of fruit-
ing kumquat.
The unfilled seat next to the bride’s father
bore a spectacular bouquet prepared in honor
of the bride’s mother, who could not attend the
wedding due to failing health.
The reception began with a cocktail party
featuring swanky cocktail tables, passed hors
d’oeuvres and the couple’s signature cocktail:
pink cosmopolitans with orange and pink sugar
rims.
When the guests joined the couple at the
reception, they entered a spectacular room
decorated with wrought iron trees bearing cherry
blossoms and kumquat branches, crystal garlands
and an abundance of flowers. The custom menus
at each place setting alternated between orange
and raspberry designs on striking ivory table lin-
ens. The couple’s sweetheart table was adorned
with a floral monogram.
After dinner, guests were invited to dance
and add their own warm wishes to the couple’s
“wishing tree” guest book. Party favors were a
unique and festive arrangement of hot pink Sofia
Coppola champagne minis wrapped in cello-
phane bags with orange and hot pink M&Ms at
the bottom.
The couple made
their “getaway” in a
golf cart emblazoned
with what else? “Just
married.”
