I do, a deaux!

A planned elopement figuratively on top of the world offers an elegant setting for a private celebration designed especially for two. Showcasing the glorious, panoramic 360-degree view atop Rachel's
Knoll, high above Seven Canyons Golf Club, Sedona's past as a prehistoric seabed takes center stage.

The famous red rocks of Sedona were formed by iron oxide remaining from the ancient sea; visitors can still find remnants of sea life in the area. It seems only fitting that shells and elegant neutral hues set the tone for this timeless story of love.

Judi "J.B." Bloomfield of Sedona Luxury Weddings & Events coordinated the day, while stylist Alisa Muhl provided detailing and on-site vignettes. Photojournalists Andrew Mejia and Katrina Wallace captured every loving element of the ceremony, al fresco dinner and even some fun and games in this engaging setting.

Events by Show Stoppers designed the marriage gazebo with luxurious silvery champagne fabrics, lovingly draped by designers Marla Faye and Samyo Shannon. The top of the gazebo was garnished with a royal crown finial.

Marvelous hand-made flowers were used throughout the decorations. Show Stoppers designer Andres Barron produced the flowers during a 4-day marathon. Polished silvery white turbos, white sea stars, sea fans and ribbon flowers accented the tiebacks and were repeated as a garnish for the chair backs. A charming sea life chandelier, complete with playful seahorses and dangling white sea stars crowns the intimate space.

The bride carried an exquisite bouquet of ribbon flowers with a couture-embroidered handle sporting a rhinestone sea horse. Shells, sea-life, shellflowers and sprays of pearls completed the bouquet.

Once officially wed, the pair dined at the world's most intimate table for two. The exquisite tablecloth, provided by Wildflower Linen, featured abstract circles in beige, silver and mocha on a palette of shimmering champagne. Fossilized sand dollars were placed in the centers of the circles for added dimension.

The china, from Classic Party Rentals, was bone with gold trim. The center of each plate was adorned with a delicate, lacy gold sea fan. An "easel" fashioned of white sea stars standing back-to-back, anchored a hand-made sugar place card by Sedona Cake Couture. Stemware with gold rims and gold utensils finished the look.

The lavish shell centerpiece was made in a cream-colored, distressed bread tin from India. Mounds of silver polished shells, coral, sea fans, sea horses, sea stars and shellflowers were incorporated into the design. Couture ribbon roses were added to complete the centerpiece.

No wedding would be complete without a sweet ending. In keeping with the trend of offering parting sweets to wedding guests, the couple enjoyed delicate French macarons displayed in large open shells. The charming his-and-hers elopement cakes were created by Andrea Carusetta of Sedona Cake Couture.

The bride's hairpiece was fashioned from a delicate sea fan with a gold seahorse, pearl bubbles and a ribbon flower and worked perfectly with the model's hairstyle by Patricia Vega. The Pronovias gown provided by Gigi Bridal Boutique in Tucson was a study in sophistication and elegance. The groom wore a matching boutonniere that popped against his handsome brown tuxedo by A Tailor Tuxedo & Bridal Shop in Tucson. Nectar Design provided the jewelry including a handmade melon shell necklace from the Santa Domingo Pueblo. The earrings were a Navajo design of orange spiney oyster set in sterling silver.
