it's all about you!
when it comes to weddings,
it's really true.
As lovely as celebrity weddings are, planning your own nuptials is a highly personal event. Rather than a drama carried out by costumed actors, a wedding should be genuine and sincere.
Bridal consultant Charlee Geisler had the unique opportunity of assisting her son Ted in planning his wedding this past May, and it was truly meaningful to the entire family. Says Charlee, “It was important that the bride and groom’s (Western) lifestyle be a part of this wedding.”
Elements in the spectacular event held at the Four Seasons Resort included many touches created by the groom himself. Ted created his own design for the rehearsal dinner and day-after brunch invitations, which incorporated a three-horse insignia. The three horses represented the bride, the groom and the bride’s young son, Cameron.
As guests entered the outdoor wedding, they were treated to an ice-cold lemonade and tea station. Following the ceremony, they entered the reception which was beautifully decorated with custom-designed linens from BBJ Linens.
There were four different colors of dupioni silk table cloths, each with a matching chair back, chair pad, and luxurious silk napkin. Each table card was tied with an organza ribbon that matched the guest’s table linens. Each place was set with a snakeskin favor box personally selected by the couple. Inside? Four chocolates, each a different color, matching the four linen colors.
The younger set was entertained throughout the evening in a separate game room prepared especially for Cameron and his guests. Ms. Pacman, Dance Revolution, Legos and a special meal awaited the children, who were very much a part of this wedding.
