...you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” So goes the famous line from the film When Harry Met Sally, although it could have easily been attributed to “When Kimberly met Brent.”
Introduced through eHarmony in October, Kimberly Done and Brent Bones felt an immediate connection. Says the bride, “we fell in love so quickly... we could hardly wait to get married.”
The couple chose to exchange marriage vows on the 18th green at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, seven months after their first meeting. Family members joined a team of carefully chosen vendors in making their wedding dreams come true. “Once all of our vendors met us, they wanted to do whatever they could to make this quick wedding happen,” recalls Kimberly.
The sophisticated setting featured décor in black, white and pink, put together by the bride’s interior decorator mother and sister. Among the details: black and white checked seat covers, bottled water with customized labels, and monogrammed mint tins tied with black and white ribbons at each place setting. The tables featured personalized place cards that matched the couple’s soft pink and black wedding invitations.
The bride carried a breathtaking bouquet accented by a crystal monogram, while the flower girl carried a scepter wrapped in black satin accented by a Swarovski bumblebee.
The guests enjoyed cocktails and butler-passed appetizers in the lakeside ballroom, followed by an elaborate buffet dinner and dancing. Kimberly was delighted when the pianist learned to play and sing “their song” in preparation for the couple’s first dance. “It was incredible! Who actually does that with the short period of time we had?”
Just over a year after the first meeting, the elated couple remembers: “Our wedding day was the most beautiful and amazing day of our lives and we know that is what every bride and groom must think. However, the details are what made our wedding absolutely breathtaking!”
