irish eyes were smiling
Irish eyes were smiling when Jessica Farruggia and
Sean Barry were wed this past St. Patrick’s Day at The
Castle at Ashley Manor. In fact, the couple planned a
festive evening for their guests that had everyone
smiling.
When the bride, a wedding coordinator, and her longtime
best friend decided to tie the knot, they did so with an air of
fun about the event. Says the bride, “When standing on the
front lines of the wedding world you see it all. You become a
walking magazine full of ads, ideas, stories, do's, don’ts, the best
ever, the worst ever, and one of the best critics for a bride and groom to have.” This bride knew she wanted to have fun.
Seeking fun in every aspect of the festivities, the couple
chose a color scheme of fuschia, tangerine, maize, ivory and of
course, a touch of green. No pinching allowed! If Irish eyes were
smiling at the wedding, then hillbilly teeth were laughing when
the reception rolled around. The couple chose tables adorned
with striking crushed satin linens that were decorated with
large Kelly green hats, and cups filled with chocolate shamrocks.
All joking aside, the bride was resplendent in an ivory Brides
by Demetrios gown and custom jewelry created especially for
the wedding. The groom’s tuxedo featured an ivory vest and
tie, while the groomsmen wore a soft gold to coordinate with
the bridesmaids’ maize gowns. The couple was wed in an
outdoor ceremony in The Castle’s gazebo, which was decorated
with paper pom pom balls.
The festive evening shared with more than 120 guests was
the perfect beginning of a lifetime of love and laughter for a
couple who met while singing Karaoke.
