Jen Frantzen and Travis Kalis celebrated the beginning of their new life together on a gorgeous spring day in Scottsdale.
Sunlight dappled through the ornate stained glass windows at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where the couple exchanged vows in front of close family and friends. The bride wore a strapless gown with a lace bodice, while the groom was handsome in a traditional black tuxedo. Throughout the entire celebration, beautiful floral elements took center stage.
"We wanted the flowers to be elegant and go with the vintage romance theme," says Jen, who carried a stunning bouquet of pale pink and eskimo white roses embellished with crystals and secured with a vintage brooch. Bridesmaids wore pewter gowns that tied together the sophisticated color scheme.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess provided an ideal backdrop for a post-ceremony photography session. Following their adventure around the resort grounds, the wedding party entered a romantic ballroom decorated with shimmering pewter, pink and white. Tables featuring satin linens, rose centerpieces, glowing candles and gleaming glass chargers set an elegant scene.
Each guest received a vintage-style pewter key as a remembrance of the wedding.
One of the highlights of the evening was the father-daughter dance. The bride explains: "My dad told me he wanted lessons from me to prepare for the father-daughter dance, since I have been dancing all my life." Jen, a former Arizona Cardinals cheerleader and dance team member, choreographed a father-daughter dance that included clips from several songs. The resulting performance surprised and delighted their guests. "It was great to see my dad have so much fun and we got a standing ovation."
"The day goes by very fast, but it is a day that we will both never forget. We are so blessed to have amazing parents that helped us every step of the way, and we are ready for our beautiful life together."
